Typically, DaVinci is engaged to perform an independent AACEI Class 3 (+/- 20%) estimate, providing the owner-operator with a current snapshot of the project’s cost, usually midway through the FEED process. Later, DaVinci submits an AACEI Class 2 (+/- 10%) estimate towards the end of the FEED phase. As the engineering contractor delivers progress to the owner-operator, DaVinci continuously develops updated estimates on the owner's behalf. The goal is to offer an independent cost estimate for comparison against the EPC contractor's, ensuring the parallel check estimate is ready before the owner receives the contractor’s final FEED estimate. DaVinci’s independent review provides a third-party perspective, often involving a comparative analysis of both estimates to identify and highlight discrepancies.
Project Estimation
is a service offered independently to EPC companies, owner-operators, financial investors, or joint venture partners. In some cases, owner-operators request DaVinci to prepare cost estimates early in the project development process to save time and costs. Alternatively, EPC contractors may enlist DaVinci to handle estimates due to time constraints or lack of internal capacity. DaVinci often prepares independent cost estimates throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept to construction. This continuous approach is advantageous, as it ensures estimates are regularly updated rather than re-developed at each stage gate. On mega-projects, DaVinci may be tasked with estimating specific units or sections of a plant or process facility as part of a larger project.
Risk Analysis

DaVinci assists in evaluating EPC pricing during contractor selection and construction, ensuring due diligence is carried out.
